As Maria was gaining consciousness, Zeronis' eyes were alerted on her face. He stood up from the couch and leaned over the bed.
"Damn," was the first word that she uttered as soon as she opened her eyes and saw how worried he was.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah. Don't worry. I just passed out and fell on the bed. Maybe that's how starving I am." Maria decided to say, not really wanting to add on his stress even more. She had no idea what that guy needed from her or from Zeronis. She thought it won't help a lot even if she'd tell him about it.
Zeronis stared at her for a brief moment, not saying anything at all.
"What?" She asked, unnerved of his stares.
"Your food is here. It's a little cold. Do you want it get heated?" he asked.
Maria turned to the side table and saw that there was indeed tray of food in there. She was awed seeing that it wasn't the usual hospital food rationed for the patient. Or maybe this is how VIP hospital works?
