Maria was stirred from her sleep and immediately turned to the side where she felt somebody's presence there. It was Zeronis who was holding her hand as if his sanity depended on it. She roamed her eyes around and didn't take a while she noticed that she was in the hospital.
"You know, I keep wondering when will I ever stop from coming in the hospital." She said, calling upon the attention of Zeronis from the silence of his own thoughts. She smiled at him when he looked up and met her eyes.
"You're awake." He said.
"Yeah and you're looking somber more than usual. I wasn't hurt that much." She said, not really lying there.
Zeronis only let a helpless smile before he leaned over and kissed her forehead. "You keep on driving me the edge."
"Well, where's the fun in mediocrity?" She said and tried sitting up. "What happened?"
