"Hey, isn't this dahlia?"
Zeronis was a little distracted about her answer that he failed to notice that she already left his side to get a closer look at the flowers that fascinated her.
"Black dahlias are super rare, don't you know?" she said and carefully cradled one into her palm to smell it.
"Isn't it? Around here, it's not." Zeronis joined on her side. "I really don't like it after Kira told us over a meal years ago that it symbolized only dark emotions-anger, sadness and betrayal."
Maria only smiled at that and let go of the flower. "Victorians used them to express unshaken devotion and loyalty, Villan. More like a language which says 'forever yours until the end of time'."
"Well, it isn't so bad at all. I thought my gardener is growing such flower with grotesque meaning." he said.
"Poor dahlia. If you could only hear a poet referred to it an ultimate symbol of passion, of love...you wouldn't dare cast it with such word." she said.
