The minute I open the door to the bedroom, I see her laying on the bed and crying. "What's wrong baby?" I rush to her side and then pick her up into my arms, genuinely concerned for her.
As I hold her close, I notice that she is wearing one of the outfits I had made for her, and it really accentuates her curves. Not to mention, the bodice has a plunging neckline that turns me completely on when I see her cleavage spilling out. Shaking my head, I try to clear my mind because right now all I am thinking with is my little head, instead of what I should be.
She looks up at me with tear-stained eyes and answers while choking on her words, "I thought you were dead. Alpha Romeo came up here just a few minutes ago and warned me to leave the castle because there are whispers that you are dead. He then said that I will be dead soon too, at this rate." Then she continues sobbing into my chest.
Hearing this, I hunger for revenge. There are those in this castle who want to harm us and take over, then so be it. First, I will tear them to shreds, and then make sure that they know who is boss. There is no way of getting away from my wrath. After all, they don't get to threaten their Luna and queen like that.
For a second, I briefly forget about revenge when she upturns her face and asks me, "Will everything be alright?"
Looking down at her breasts in that red velvet dress, I open my mouth but don't say anything at first. Instead, I glance up into her eyes and then gaze into those perfect orbs. I feel her hands run across my chest and that brings me out of my desire induced trance, to say, "Yes, baby. It will. Everything will be alright. I just need you to promise to not open the door for anyone except for me. That is until I return. There are a few things I must do to make sure no one ever hurts you or the pups."
She nods slowly while staring into my eyes and then I feel my hunger surpass the need to take revenge. The heat between us is so overpowering, that I lean down and devour her lips. It isn't till a few minutes later, that I break the kiss and realize that her lips are bruised by the passion between us.
I frown and then whisper so only she can hear and not the pups, "What I want to do to you, will have to wait till later. Don't you fret though. When I return, I am planning on making you scream my name for hours and hours." Raising my hand to her lips, I rub my thumb over her bottom lip before she sucks it into her mouth for only a second, then releases it. I make my way to the door before looking back.
"Remember. Do not open the door for anyone but me. I don't know who is in on this. Got it?" I point at her in warning with a furrowed brow because I know damn well that she probably won't listen. She is a teen after all.
"Fine. I promise, but only if you hurry back. I missed you so much." She says as she starts to pout before I leave.
When I open the door, I hear someone passing by quickly. I can only assume that they must have been listening in on our conversation and as soon as they heard me coming to the door, they hurried away from it. The minute I realize it, I rush after them to find out who it is.
Catching up to him, I grab his shoulder and turn him around quickly to find Beta Stanley staring at me nervously. He is not happy that I caught him in the act, so now he is going into a frenzy. With a roar, he lunges at me and bites my forearm before I ever get a chance to move out of the way.
Letting my wolf take over, I watch in a dream state as he lashes out at Beta Stanley, and I hear teeth gnashing on bone. The whole time there is a gnawing feeling in the back of my head that I should be with Arabella to protect her, but I can't break away from this battle. My wolf lunges forward and bites Beta Stanley in the neck, but not deep enough to sever the artery, so he keeps attacking with such fury that Stanley has no hope of winning.
He tears his throat out this time and I see blood spray all over before throwing my head back to howl. Afterwards, I regain control and wipe my mouth clean before rushing back to the room. However, when I get there, something is clearly wrong. It must have been a setup to get Arabella alone and kill her, because now the door is wide open and torn clear off its hinges.
Shaking my head as I enter the room, I already know what I have feared. She is gone and someone has her or has killed her. Seeing no body brings me no relief at all, when I smell her and then notice the blood trail leading out the window.
We are on the second story. Who could have done this? It had to be a vampire, because they are the only ones who could reach her up here. But then why is the door torn off its hinges?
Right before I close my eyes as I try to calm my thoughts and think clearer, I sigh loudly and then use my strong sense of smell to track her. If I can't go out the window, at least I can figure out how long it has been since she was taken and then go from there. Smelling the scent, I realize that her blood trail is still fresh, so I launch myself down the stairs and out the front door.
I stand under our room for a few seconds before smelling her blood on the bushes a couple of inches from me. When I walk over to them, I notice something else in the weeds. Whoever took her, stripped her before they left. She must have been kicking and screaming too, because there is more blood here than there was up in the room.
As I start to run towards the woods, I hear her scream in the distance and then I no longer hear her. It is as if she knew I was looking for her and didn't know where to start. Are we that connected to each other?
Whoever has done this will be dead when I get my hands on them. Even if it is the last thing I ever do.
