Chapter 8 - Chapter 7

"I-I don't know what you're trying to say."

"Let's start with this." He said, pulled me towards him, and crashed his lips against mine.

My eyes widened on impact and it only took seconds before I felt his lips playing on mine. It was like cold jello melting into my lips. Hunter's hand went to cradle my left cheek, guiding me, leading me on how to kiss him back.

Surprisingly, I made experimental responses and the kisses became rather a little wild. I felt my heart can't keep up with how he was expertly teaching me. His tongue slid inside my mouth and met my own. My knees wobbled and the world became dizzying motion.

I think I would collapse right there if he didn't secure his arm around my waist. He guided both of my arms around his neck. Our locking lips with firm kisses gradually became gentle. As if he's letting me suck for air before I drowned.

Then we parted lips, both after our breaths as we stared at each other.

"Whom are you kissing right now, Harata?" he asked in rasped voice. I smell cool mint breath blended with a slight hint of cigarettes that it's making my mind hazy. I can't think of anything at all.

"You." I finally answered which drew a lift on the corner of his lips.

"Good." He leaned forward again, kissed me slowly as if this time, he was taking his sweet time. I felt his smirked when I responded to him.

"I won't give you any breaks. So buckle up, pumpkin."

I can't process what he meant as he kissed me again in slow accord. Dang. I didn't know that Hades is a wicked kisser! Oh gosh!

Just what on earth have I got myself into?

A small recap. After the many kisses that Hunter and I shared inside his guild, he suggested for a date this Saturday and my stupid self agreed without thinking first. Now, I understand why hades' exes couldn't move on from him when he can make me forget the world with mere kisses. Uh...wait. No, that kiss means nothing to me!

Why the hell did I allow him to kiss me? Just what the hell, self?

Back to my point, I agreed to go out this Saturday even though I have a whole day shift to the Diner's where I worked part-time. I can't take back my words again unless I want to anger the ruler of the underworld. Ehem, I mean, Hunter. I don't want to piss him off. I saw what he's capable of doing after all those years I've observed him in the school. I don't want to end up to his blacklist yet. Not ever.

Now, I was standing alone at the entrance of the mall where we were supposed to meet up. I glanced at my wristwatch and noted that it had been five minutes or so. That man was making me wait this long?

He dared!

And to my very first date!

I'll leave if he won't show up in the next couple of minutes.

I might be overexaggerating since five minutes wasn't that long. But it's not like I want to spend my whole day with the man that I don't even like the slightest.

"I'm sorry I got sidetracked in the way."

I almost jumped in fright when Hunter appeared on my left side, slightly panting. He combed his hair with his hand and closed his eyes, lifting his head up in what seemed an attempt to calm himself as he let out air from his mouth.

I secretly checked him out. Well, not bad. He still looked attractive with slightly disheveled hair. No, wait. What? I didn't just think that.

"It's okay. It's only been five minutes." I appeased and I swear I don't intend to sound sweet. What the hell, voice?

"I'll make it up to you," Hunter said, leaned over my face, and gave me a kiss on my lips as a greeting.

"You look cute." he complimented.

"Uhm. People are watching. Let go." I said, grabbing both of his hands off my cheeks. He then slid his hand over mine and interlaced our fingers.

"I'll buy everything today," he said not a bit apologetic.

"No, wait. We should split." I suggested. Can't exploit someone like this even though it was our first date.

"No. It's on me today since I made you wait." he insisted.

"Okay. Next time, it'll be my turn." I negotiated.

"Deal. Let's head inside," he said. I tagged along behind him while my eyes were on our hands. Honestly, I don't like how my heart slightly fluttered.

Inside the cinema, I found myself secured by his arms even though we were sitting in different seats. Hunter just pulled up the division between us and that was how I was in his arms. Talk about being clingy.

As the movie started, I focused on the widescreen. I swear I'm not distracted with Hunter's hand on...my thigh! My eyes sneaked a peek at his hand when he unconsciously squeeze my leg every now and then. Then I made a side glance to see what was his face when doing so. The effing wolf just wore a very neutral face as if it came naturally for him to land his hand on someone's thigh!

Honestly! I'm not one of his easy girls who will jump on him every moment they could get!!

So, I removed his hand off my leg and turned to him.

"Please don't. I can't concentrate on the movie." I didn't intend to sound rude but he was the first to cross the boundary.

"Oh. Sorry. Must be out of habit." he said with a grin. With a quick apology and that wicked smile, I decided to let it go. Though it felt a little annoying about what he said which implied that he was used to doing it with his previous relationship before. Like I should care.

After a while, the movie engrossed me with its wonderful plot and it could almost be included in my list of favorites if not for the sudden thud behind my seat. When I checked what was it, I ducked my head down, barely avoiding the flinging legs of one woman who hovered above her date.
