Hunter's POV (Continuation..,)
I immediately stepped hard on the break, got out the car as I mumbled a spell to destroy the installed anti magic in the area. There were series of explosion from those devices but I didn't pay them attention as my eyes were keen on the woman who climbed the window.
Behind her were thick fogging smoke inside her room and on the other window on her living room were already red in flames. There were series of explosion from there and I suspect it would be in the kitchen.
"LAYLA! NO! LAYLA!" I called out at the top of my lungs but I knew my voice won't reach hear considering how high she was and the fire underneath her floor might be distractions enough to make bellowed go on deaf ears.
I felt like I ate a bitter fruit upon seeing Layla involuntarily falling from the window and it was sudden that I fled near where she might fall. I already doused the spell in the atmosphere before she could even hit the ground.
