Phillips knew that after this morning, he had no more excuses to keep Sophia. But there was something that Phillips knew he had to say today.
"Sophia!" Phillips stood up and called Sophia.
"Huh? What's wrong, Phillips?" Sophia turned around and looked at Phillips in confusion. She didn't know why Phillips called her.
"Do you still remember what I said that night?" Phillips asked.
"Yes!" Sophia nodded. "I remember. You said that you had a good time with me. Phillips, I had a very relaxed time with you too. These few days on campus are probably the most relaxing days I have had during this time."
"I said I liked spending time with you. In fact, I should have been more direct. I like you, Sophia. I've liked you from the moment I first saw you. You may have forgotten, but I still remember the day you walked into my classroom and asked me which one of us was Phillips."
