When the three left the hospital, Joseph and Trisha went to the mall to buy some maternity and baby supplies.
Sebastian looked at Trisha's flat stomach and asked curiously, "How far along are you?"
Trisha replied, "Less than a month."
It was younger than Sophia's.
Joseph added, "It should be twenty-six days old."
Trisha's face flushed like a ripened apple. She complained to Joseph in a low voice, "Do you have to be so blunt about it?"
So blunt! Wasn't he announcing to others that they had sex twenty-six days ago?
Sebastian didn't overthink it. "Isn't it too soon to buy baby stuff this early? By the time the baby's born, the stuff would have expired, right?"
Joseph said, "What do you know? Babies have feelings now. If we buy things for the baby, it will feel its parents' love. That way, it won't torment its mother."
Sebastian smiled and didn't say anything else.
