The nurse who was about to leave listened in confusion. Wasn't the pregnant woman in room 507 in a relationship with the aloof yet handsome gentleman? What's with this strange man and their even stranger conversation? It was as if there was some unspeakable secret.
She didn't leave and no one noticed her.
Once again, Norman was struck by Sophia's keen senses, and he was stunned silence.
Perhaps she expected it earlier on, Norman's silence didn't surprise nor anger Sophia. She merely told him to leave, "Stay away from me, I don't want to see you."
Norman remained standing but did not leave.
He put some papers on the bedside table and said earnestly, "Whether you keep the child, I promise that this will never happen again."
Sophia did not look at him, but her expression softened.
