The three major races of the icy plains—trolls, ice giants, and subhumans—were hot commodities in the slave markets.
There were also some rare, smaller tribes, like the tiny beings less than a foot tall with dragonfly-like transparent wings who were enclosed in birdcages known as "flower fairies." They were not less intelligent and excelled in simple magic related to flower cultivation. Often, they were treated as pets, kept in the back gardens of grand nobles.
Other races, like dwarves, lizardmen, cave dwellers, half-elves, and frost maidens... As long as they were not human, various humanoid intelligent races were targets for slave merchants to capture and sell.
These rare slaves were very popular in the upper echelons of Luying society.
