Leonard swiftly utilized his computer technology to create an untraceable phone, then turned on a voice changer and alerted the police that someone was acting suspiciously on this street, apparently trying to smash car windows and steal things.
As one of Istanbul's now-famous commercial streets, the street naturally received the utmost attention from the police, so less than five minutes after making the call, a police car came from not far away.
Upon seeing two police officers coming down from the vehicle, Leonard and Joan quickly teleported to the second-level of the café they had been in before and then took out a Mauser semi-automatic rifle and fired several shots at the police car.
With the sound of gunfire, the whole street seemed to come awake as the two officers quickly took cover behind a shelter and began calling for backup.
