Transporting the treasure onto the ship was an extremely difficult task, because most of the boxes were very heavy and some were slightly oversized.
From the search work in the caves, it seemed that the people that year had temporarily cut down some trees, then used the wood to make wooden signs to transport these heavy boxes.
After a search in the cave, they found some broken, simply processed wood, which obviously were the transportation tools used back then.
Fortunately, Leonard and others had anticipated these issues and brought along simple trolleys, so with these tools, they successfully transported the things to the seaside.
"There must have been other things aboard that ship that year. I refuse to believe that a ship of more than a thousand tons only carried these seventy-odd boxes," Leonard said to Nelson across from him as they rode the small boat back to the larger ship.
