After switching to the probe, the speed of the search slowed down considerably. Fortunately, the area of this grassland wasn't very large, so by the time they were about to have lunch, they successfully found some unusual things.
The first to notice something amiss was Joan, when she once again inserted the probe into the dirt, she felt the tip make contact with some hard object.
Initially, she thought it was just a stone like before, but after using the probe to examine it, she realized the object below wasn't the same kind of pebble she had encountered earlier.
Because this was a small island located in the center of a lake, the soil on the hillside was naturally loose due to absorbing a lot of water. It only took Joan about ten minutes or so to dig a pit more than half a meter deep.
