Having finished their inspection work in Jordan, Leonard and others boarded a plane to Paris. They were not heading home right away mainly because Mr. Doris had sent an invitation to his upcoming birthday party.
This was not a common occurrence for Mr. Doris, as he had not participated in such private events for several years since falling ill, attending only purely commercial activities.
As for why a birthday party was being held this time, it probably had something to do with Joan. The family now had a new heir and intended to use this event to introduce their heir to everyone.
Of course, this birthday party was definitely not the most ordinary of birthday parties. For the vast majority of attendees, it was, in fact, a social occasion.
As a social event, the main topics of discussion at the party revolved around business matters, including cooperation, acquisitions, or investments in new projects.
