By the daytime of the next day, Leonard and the others had begun their second round of search work and found another completely abandoned wooden house during this search, where they discovered a cement platform.
Looking down from the exit of this house, they could see the remains of two collapsed wooden racks scattered on the mountain ridge.
"Obviously, there should have been a cableway here, and the materials for building the houses were transported up through the cableway," Leonard pointed to the remains and said. "As for this cement platform, it was probably used to fix a winch or a generator."
"Maybe, but what were the Germans building here?" Fairmont asked curiously. "I don't think this place is worth building any military facilities."
The reason he said this was simple. From both the tactical and strategic point of view, this region was of the least importance to WWII Germany.
