The journey to Abu Dhabi was somewhat boring, as it was mostly desert and blinding sunlight along the way. Fortunately, the air conditioning on the bus was quite powerful, and the two people could chat with each other, so it wasn't a big problem.
"The snacks feel a bit too sweet." After eating a piece from a box of snacks purchased earlier at Dubai Airport, Joan frowned. Although she liked sweets, the sweetness of the snacks here was beyond her imagination.
"This is also a local characteristic." Leonard Ethan explained after hearing Joan's comment. "On one hand, the entire Arabian Peninsula is hot and barren, so locals need some long-lasting and high-calorie food for long journeys."
"On the other hand, they cannot drink alcohol because of religious reasons, so sugar is a very good substitute for them when they want to find pleasure in food."
