Leonard's estimation of the time was quite accurate, as they finished all the scanning work at 11:20 PM and stored the 3D data into the computer.
"Can we just go and rest now?" Joan seemed a bit worried as she watched Leonard work on the computer before leaving the room. "Don't we need someone here?"
"Of course not. I designed this program to reduce our workload, so it can run automatically," Leonard said, opening the door of the carriage.
"Now we can go sleep, and by the time we wake up tomorrow, the computer will have everything processed. Honestly, this is much faster than traditional manual work. The only downside was that programming was a bit troublesome before."
Obviously, the benefits of embracing technological advancement outweigh the drawbacks. So when they woke up early the next morning, the computer program had already finished running, and the screen displayed how the fragments should be assembled.
