As they walked, Leonard and others saw a tall bell tower by the roadside, so they went off the main road and into a narrow alley, which turned out to be the great cathedral of Bern.
However, what was even more interesting was that at the entrance there was a marketplace selling all kinds of crafts, mostly made by the residents themselves. Switzerland is a country famous for its skilled craftsmen, and this was reflected in these small items.
That being said, it always felt strange to have a bustling market at the entrance of a solemn place like a cathedral, but this seemed to be the case all over the world.
Take, for example, the traditional temple fairs in the Eastland. Because they were all small items made by the residents themselves, the prices were not too high, so Leonard and Joan took the opportunity to buy some items, like silver ornaments or music boxes.
