Since it was a tropical area, Leonard and his companions didn't find any corpses of the Foreign Devils on the ship, which was good news from any angle.
Leonard held some respect for most of the dead, for example, he would properly arrange the remains found during the excavation process.
However, the corpses of the Foreign Devils were a different matter. For instance, if it weren't for the fact that the Japanese devil corpses in the cave could show their brutality, even towards their own people, he would have thrown those bones into the woods long ago.
But in the edited video later on, Leonard specifically made close-ups of those bones and then spent some time showing his audience just how brutal those Japanese aggressors were back then.
And now, thanks to the warm tropical waters and the abundance of marine life, no human remains were found at the shipwreck site, which saved Leonard some trouble.
