This is a Mathura-style Buddha statue, one of the three major schools of early Buddhist art, which include the Gandhara, Mathura, and Amaravati styles.

Each of these three art styles has its own characteristics. The most distinctive feature of Gandhara-style Buddha statues is their Hellenistic influence, with strong, powerful features that resemble the strong young men in ancient Greek sculptures when religious elements are removed.

At the same time, the face is very Westernized, with thin lips and a tall, straight nose, while the eye sockets are relatively recessed. The entire face has sharp angles and a strong sense of line.
