Old Liu was the one who came to Leonard after he made a phone call. He claimed to be a businessman in Kyrgyzstan, but Leonard was not sure what he was really doing, nor whether his surname was truly Liu as he claimed.
However, for Leonard, it was enough to know that the other party was reliable. After arriving, Old Liu circled the cave and asked Leonard to directly communicate with the local archaeological department and announce his discovery on social networks.
