"Thank you for your blessings." Leonard was quite happy with what Mr. Scott said about how life should be arranged, so he raised his wine glass with a smile and took a sip of the champagne.
Just as he was putting down his glass and about to say something, he unexpectedly saw Pierce come in through the door.
"Please excuse me for a moment; I need to greet a friend." Seeing Pierce, Leonard immediately excused himself from Mr. Scott, and then went to the door and brought Pierce over.
Pierce was invited this time mainly because the Emerald Antique Shop was a partner in this venture. This was after Leonard discovered the minerals but was short on money, and pulled them in because he felt helpless alone.
Although the Emerald Antique Store is a very small partner in this large-scale collaboration, it still received an invitation.
