Leonard held reservations about the librarian's statement, as he wasn't sure if the librarian was revealing the truth or trying to mislead treasure hunters in the wrong direction.
However, the next day after examining these documents and the personal information of numerous suspects, he found that at least the part about not finding the treasure seemed to be true.
Because, upon further analysis of the individual information, these people appeared to have regular financial records, with clear sources for all large incomes and expenditures, and no sudden increase in wealth.
If they really had some kind of treasure, it would be difficult to refrain from using it for so many years, and as soon as they started using it, the records wouldn't appear so problem-free as they do now.
