For Leonard and his companions, the hidden ruins in the valley were evidently more interesting than the tourist attractions in the city center. Therefore, early the next morning, they set off along the small path behind the mountain.
At first, Leonard was worried about getting lost, but after asking the locals, they learned that they only had to follow the small river that ran through the village upstream, and there were no confusing intersections to worry about.
"We really owe your old cousin," Leonard said to Fairmont, tapping the small axe hanging from his waist during a break.
After learning that they were going to venture into the mountains, Fairmont's cousin they met yesterday lent them a complete set of tools, including axes, shovels, and even two homemade throwing darts.
Although there were no dangerous wild animals in the area, creatures like wild boars and poisonous snakes were still present, so it made sense to bring some protective gear.
