Joan sat on the rock for several hours, only sighing and jumping off the rock when the sky slowly turned dark. As she walked towards the edge of the woods, she said,
"I remember when I used to herd sheep here, this place was just a meadow. I didn't expect it to become a forest now. Just like you said, everything is changing, and I should accept this change."
Soon, she came to a large rock and took a branch from a nearby tree to start digging about one meter from the rock.
"Uh—what are you digging for?" Watching Joan start digging, Leonard took a branch too and helped her dig, asking her what she was digging for.
"Before I left home, I left most of my belongings to my parents or gave them to my village friends, but some of my childhood items were buried in this place where I used to graze sheep." Joan turned her head and replied to Leonard's question.
"So I want to see if those things are still here, and if they are, I can keep them as memories, and if not, I will be at peace."
