Although Leonard had been praising his three ravens all the way here, claiming how exceptional they were, and despite these three ravens having shown off some of their abilities on an Internet program before, the others still thought that these city-raised creatures weren't necessarily adept at outdoor activities.
Therefore, right after the ravens were released, everyone gathered together to start discussing how to conduct reconnaissance on those locations, while Daniel suggested that he could inform the people in the surrounding villages to participate in the search.
