For example, even though the Turkish Archaeological Department knew Leonard was working on an archaeological excavation, and Mr. Scott had specifically informed them, this group of people didn't arrive until noon on the third day.
Fortunately, with the help of the two assistants sent by Scott, Leonard and his team could rest and ride in a car back to Trabzon after handing over their work, then take Scott's private plane back to Constantinople.
Then, the plane carrying all their luggage went straight to the United Kingdom, while Leonard and the others planned to spend a few days sightseeing in Constantinople before returning.
After all, it's not often that they come to Turkey, and it would be too boring to just stay in the wild for a few days and then go straight back to the UK.
