As an ancillary service area for the Antonine Wall tourist attraction, the entire service area is not that large. This is because compared to the more popular Hadrian's Wall in the south, not only does this tourist area have fewer visitors, but most of them are just passing through.

The reason for this is simple: after being built in 12 years, this wall was abandoned by the Romans after only 20 years of use, and the Roman battlefront was pulled back to the more southerly Hadrian's Wall.

So, compared to Hadrian's Wall in the south, this wall not only has less fame but also has a more severe degree of damage due to its short usage time and long abandonment period.

For example, large sections of Hadrian's Wall in the south are still visible, but most of the man-made traces at Antonine Wall have disappeared completely, leaving behind only empty land indistinguishable from the surrounding environment.
