However, very few could actually be confirmed as relating to the extraordinary, perhaps one in thirty or forty, while the majority remained questionable.
Most of these questionable items were unique cultural relics, suspected solely because they were placed in certain religious contexts, but they were quickly identified as non-extraordinary items with the help of already confirmed extraordinary items.
Others were merely counterfeits, purely imitating extraordinary items. Clearly, in ancient times, objects related to the supernatural were considered gifts from deities, thus naturally leading to numerous fakes.
But these imitations could easily be recognized, as the materials used often revealed a vast gap between them and the genuine articles.
