The small items found in those ivory crevices included bronze ware, stone tools, and jade, with the most captivating being a jade gui carved from green jade.
This jade gui was 15.86 centimeters long, 4.09 centimeters wide, and 0.5 centimeters thick, made from transparent tremolite jade. It was a dark green color with white streak-like blemishes, semi-transparent. Rectangular in shape, longer than wide, with a flat top, straight waist, straight face, and flat blade.
The gui's handle had five sets of tooth-like decorations, the top and bottom sets each had four parallel straight-line patterns, and the three middle sets each had three parallel straight lines, with each set of lines comprising two parallel lines.
The entire piece was well-made and polished, clearly belonging to the highest class of ancient ceremonial objects. Its presence in the pit strongly indicated the significance of these historic ruins.
