"You're right, I was indeed momentarily overwhelmed by my emotions earlier," Leonard Ethan admitted, having been persuaded by both the driver and himself. The middle school teacher, known as Ivan, finally had a change of heart.
"That's good to hear, I'm glad you could see reason," Leonard Ethan nodded in agreement after hearing the middle-aged man's change of heart, as saving someone's life in such a situation is always a positive outcome.
"How did you think to come and save me?" Once everyone was seated in the vehicle and ready to take Ivan, the middle school teacher, back to his home, Ivan suddenly asked the driver.
"You are the fifteenth person I've encountered this year who attempted suicide," the driver said in a somber tone, and the vehicle fell silent instantly.
However, Leonard Ethan quickly recalled the middle-aged man's earlier statement and followed up with a question, "You mentioned just now that you obtained a Doctor of History degree in Paris, is that true?"
