This time, Leonard and others found a total of seventeen oil paintings, of which eleven were works from well-known Eastern European artists similar to Hungarian painter Montague or Czech expressionist Bohumil Cooper.
The most famous of these should be the two prints from Mucha. However, considering that Leonard owns a large number of Mucha's works and has mastered the artistic level of this grand master, these prints are not much of a surprise to him.
As for the other six oil paintings, in addition to three by Vincent Van Gogh, there is also an oil painting by Rembrandt, one by Monet, and a traditional Chinese painting by Chinese artist Qi Baishi.
"How can a Chinese painting appear here?" Joan, looking at the lifelike ink shrimp on the painting in front of her, asked with some confusion.
Because traditional Chinese painting started becoming famous on the international market only after the mid-1990s, and before that, Europeans did not value these artworks from the Far East.
