When the alarm from his electronic watch woke Leonard Ethan up, the sky had already slowly started to brighten, and Joan had just returned from outside after getting dressed and brushing her teeth.
"There's hot water outside for washing up," Joan said to Leonard while she put her towel and toothbrush in her bag, "Today, before it was even light, the sentries had heated up the water."
After Hugo got dressed and packed up, everyone began eating breakfast. Using the hot water heated earlier, they quickly heated their drinks and finished a simple breakfast with their own dried rations.
"Alright, here's the situation for today," Leonard began laying out their plan after they had finished breakfast, "Next, we'll leave two people to guard the camp, and the rest will explore the surroundings."
"Are we staying here for the long term?" Joan asked in surprise. "Yes, at least until we finish the search work," Leonard replied with a smile.
