After careful inventory, Leonard and others could confirm that these items were basically private belongings, such as buttons on clothes or metal reinforcements originally used on clothing, and ribbons woven with gold threads.
The most eye-catching among them was a curved sword used by cavalry. Due to the passage of time, all organic matter had disappeared, leaving only a rusty blade and the precious metal-plated fittings on it.
What was special about the fittings was that they were inlaid with a medal, which had a white enamel cross on it, and the base metal was gold.
At the center of the medal was also an enamel painting, with an ancient warrior riding a horse on one side and Cyrillic letters on the other.
"Second-class Order of St. George Medal—" After a careful look, Leonard recognized what it was. This was the Order of St. George Medal of Tsarist Russia and one of the higher-ranking military medals of Tsarist Russia.
