Although the pile of trash at the bottom of the pit looked terrible, the actual situation was better than imagined. At least these fragments could still show the appearance of the original object, and it hadn't rotted to the point where there were no clues left.
Furthermore, due to the relatively low water content of the soil on the hillside, this wooden box and the organic matter inside have largely survived. While they can't retain their original appearance, at least it's possible to identify what these things were before.
"A large pile of broken clothes along with a moldy wooden box, what the hell is this?" Leonard Ethan was subconsciously suspicious when he saw the box at the bottom of the pit for the first time. "This doesn't seem to have any connection with the mud seal."
