Upon discovering that a group of relic thieves were in search of the treasure of the Knights Templar, and seemingly having some success, Leonard Ethan quickly became alert, as letting these people find the treasure would definitely cause tremendous destruction to historical research.
Given the nature of these thieves, if they were to find the treasure, they were likely to sell the relics to wealthy individuals in exchange for money. This would damage the value of the original artifact system and could even lead to the concealment of historical truths.
"How should we deal with them?" Joan asked cautiously, keeping an eye on the silhouettes of the men climbing the museum steps. "Given that we are in the city centre, I don't recommend using any violent means."
"We obviously can't use violence," Leonard replied, as they were in the heart of Edinburgh, and resorting to violence would simply attract unnecessary trouble.
