"Who are you?" As Leonard, clad in armor, approached the gate in front of the iron fence, the figure behind it had already extinguished the tiny flame and stood up to look at him.

"I'm here to rescue you." After seeing the label of the hostage on the person, Leonard replied in French, the same language as the other party. The person was speaking an ancient French, and Jean-François Champollion's memory was enough to help Leonard deal with the current situation.

As he spoke, Leonard leaned his spear against the wall and then drew out the now alloyed Viking axe from his waist, smashing the back of it at the lock on the door.

Although the style of the Viking axe was not particularly suited for this kind of menial work, modern equipment and Leonard's enhanced body allowed him to break the lock after only two or three smashes with the back of the axe.
