"Maybe I should've gone to your sister.", Cheryl snaps.
"Go ahead.", I state.
"Why aren't you taking this serious?", she demands.
"Look Cheryl, you can head to Lexa to tell them everything you've told me but one tiny detail, you can't just pick who you visit.", I state with a smirk.
She growls, so I decide to drop the biggest bomb of all.
"How come Wyatt went to take over William, unless when your children were growing up, you biased? It Wyatt doing the same thing as you did, or is he trying to show us something?"
Smirking as I watch her squirm in her seat, leaning forward on my hands- throwing my head up as my eyes wonder trying to find where this feeling was coming from.
"Ah!"
Throwing my body up as I try to pinpoint where the scream come from; sensing another scream coming, Cheryl speaks but I couldn't hear as the room fades.
Gasping for air, looking around, I see I'm back inside my room, when I notice something or someone moving beside me. As my body wakes up, just before a blood codding scream comes out of McKenna's mouth, covering it with my hand as I use my other hand to shake her awake.
"McKenna, wake up."
Eyes widen in fear as I see blood come rolling down her checks, shaking her harder as tears roll down my face. Wishing I could wake her from her murderous nightmare- feeling a pull, the image I'm seeing is one I wish or want anyone to see.
"McKenna, the disgrace of a daughter. Do you know why I'm doing this?"
"Yes, sir.", she responds.
The man smirks as he pulls out a whip, already knowing what's going to happen, dashing over to a chained up McKenna and protect her.
"What.", she says.
Smiling at her, but her eyes widen in fear as her father comes closer-
"No, stop!", she screams.
Hearing the wind from the whip as it comes down, looking up at her, she looks in confusion why I'm not hissing in pain.
"It's a dream baby girl.", I whisper.
"That can't..."
"I'll get beaten in the future.", she whispers.
Knowing I wouldn't be able to speak, I nod my head. She wraps her arms around me before letting out a sigh of relief.
"Where am I, physically?", she asks.
"Your safe in my room.", I tell her.
Not letting me go, she nods her head- preparing for the questions that'll come up when she's mentally stable again. After a while, she lets me go and gets comfortable on the floor and I follow right behind her.
"Why didn't you just wake me?"
"Tired to.", I state.
"It could've been that bad?", she whispers.
"You were crying blood, McKenna. I think that's bad.", giving her a knowing look.
She opens her mouth, but I give her a look which makes her close it before she sighs.
"How about we both wake up and talk then.", I say.
She nods her head in agreement, closing both our eyes, letting out a breath and reopened them to see my room. Looking towards the left to see McKenna actually awake.
"McKenna, you good?", I ask.
"Mhm."
"I need to verbally respond.", I whisper.
"Shaken up, but okay... I think.", she answers.
"How often do you get like that?", I ask.
"Whenever I get a vision.", she states as she leaves the bed.
"I'm guessing that 'dream' happens after?", I say causational.
"Not really; it mostly happens when I tell someone.", she answers.
"How many people have you've told someone about your vision?", I ask.
She thinks before mumbling and counting on her fingers.
"About three times.", she says causational.
"Do you normally cry blood?", I ask again.
"Not that I can remember."
"What do you remember from those times?", I ask, while heading to my desk.
"Hard to say.", she states while shrugging.
Biting my lip as I try to think of a way to help her but nothing is coming up so I wait and see if she adds to it.
"What time is it?", she asks.
Looking at the clock, I see is almost five, turning my attention back to McKenna.
"About to be five.", I answer.
"I want to show you something while everyone is mostly asleep.", she says.
"Sure, but let's get changed first.", I answer then state.
Once we're changed, we go out my window. As my left leg was out the window, I remembered the creature sleeping on my nightstand. Making my way back over there, I gently grab it before putting it in the side pocket. Jogging over to the window, I finally could climb out the window after I looked to make sure I had everything.
"Everything good?", she asks.
"Yeah, had to go back for this creature.", I say as I point to the sleeping Drause.
Nodding her head, she walks into the woods as my room is at the borderline where the castle and forest meet; as we walk, you can hear the different creatures either breathing or moving around. Hearing the Drause moving around, so I stop and take them out before placing them on my shoulder, jogging to catch up with McKenna just as she turns.
"What's that?", she asks while pointing.
The creature on my shoulder dashes for the neck hole of my shirt; McKenna's face said she's done, sending her an apologist smile before grabbing the creature. They squirm in my hands; I was about to lose my grip.
"Enough!"
It stops moving, taking that time to face them towards McKenna, then holds it with one hand while using the other to point at her.
"She isn't a threat to you.", I start, "McKenna tolerate animals because animals don't trust her since the type of elf she is makes animals scared of her.", I finished.
After it looks at her, it turns towards me; it continues to do that for about five minutes before flying towards her and lands on her shoulder. It shakes as she brings her hand closer to it. When it realized, it stops shaking.
"It's not so bad.", she whispers.
Rolling my eyes as I nudge her and continue to head to the area she was facing. She rushes to catch up, stopping me once we get two thick trees with branches blocking the area; glancing over at her, she goes to the right tree before putting her hand right in the middle. A glow comes from it. Shielding my eyes, the entrance clears and now we walk though; ducking as a knife comes flying towards me.
"Why did you bring this thing here?"
"Easy, their not a threat.", McKenna states, while getting in front of me with her hands in front of her.
The newcomer glares at me when a smirk appears on their face. Sensing something, I duck while bringing McKenna down with me.
