Chapter 155 - Tarroco Island

Kumquat Island.

After they walked out of the Hunter Association building, Hisoka left the group and went to meet up with Suzie and the others, who were waiting at the port.

"Are you going to leave?"

Suzie nodded while grabbing her bag.

"Yeah. A lot of people have called me asking when I'm going to come back."

"Safe travels."

He replied.

"By the way, I almost forgot to give this to you."

She grabbed a Pokeball from her belt and handed it to him.

"This Pokeball contains the Lapras that we rescued on Tangelo Island. It has fully healed. I think it's best if I leave her to you."

"Why did you give her to me? Don't you want her?"

He asked in a curious tone.

"Even though I really like her, I don't really have the heart to catch her. I hope you can return her back to her herd. She misses them so much."

"Sure. No problem at all."

He put the Pokeball away. Although this Lapras had not fully grown yet, it was strong enough to carry him across the sea.

After saying goodbye to each other, he watched as she and the others boarded a boat. Suzie would return to Celadon City while Daisy would take Melody to sightsee around Kanto.

He then went to the hotel that he had registered earlier to rest. He also needed to prepare himself for the upcoming mission. He was very low on supplies. It seemed he had to go to the market to replenish his stock.

A few days later, Hisoka, Will, and Doran checked out of their hotel and went to the port together. Earlier, Paul had called them to come to the headquarters to accept their mission.

"Let's part here. I wish you all the best on your mission."

Said Hisoka with a downcast expression. After staying with them for a couple of days, he was quite reluctant to part ways with them.

"You too."

"Goodbye."

After that, they all split up and went on their own separate ways.

Doran's mission was to go to Goldenrod City in Kanto. He had to find a base of Team Rocket hidden somewhere below the city. Then, he had to infiltrate and copy all the information in the base. After leaving the base, he had to destroy it to complete the mission.

Meanwhile, Will had to go to Lavender Town in Kanto. He had to solve the haunted incident that had been going on for almost a year.

As for himself, he had to head to Tarroco Island at the northernmost tip of the Orange Archipelago and catch a group of pirates called the Stinger Pirates. They recently had been appearing around Tarroco Island to poach Pokemon on the island.

After learning about the mission, he searched for some information about the Stinger Pirates on the internet.

Stinger Pirates was a poacher gang that had emerged in the past five years. It had been wandering around the Orange Islands all year round, poaching rare Pokemon. Their leader, Captain Crook, was a selfish person who would do whatever he could to get what he desired.

His modus operandi was to fire a cannonball at the target. The cannonball was loaded with a Pokeball containing a Tentacruel, which he used to subdue the target. He was also known to resort to cannonballs when facing a threat from the authorities.

Since there was no time limit to complete the mission, he took his time to get to Tarroco Island. After returning the boat he borrowed from Professor Ivy, he set off on Lapras, stopping by at a couple of places along the way.

Three days later, he finally reached Tarroco Island.

When he reached the port, he took Lapras back to her Pokeball and made his way to the Pokemon Center in the small town.

"Hello? Do you want a tour guide? I can show you around the island for a small fee."

Suddenly, a small figure appeared in his path. When he looked down, he saw a little girl in a yellow dress with a black hat.

"Girl, what's your name?"

Taking a candy out of his pocket, he crouched down and handed it to her.

The little girl didn't seem to be afraid of his presence as she kept her eyes on him. Her eyes perked up after seeing the candy in his hand.

"Hello, my name is Nanala."

The little girl replied gleefully in a sing-song manner after taking the candy.

"It's a nice name. My name is Hisoka. Do you know any good place to eat around here?"

He asked with a kind smile.

"I know just the right place. Follow me, Uncle Kainalu's Fish Soup is worth to die for."

She put the candy in her pocket before she walked ahead with a spring in her steps.

A few minutes later, they reached an inn right next to the beach. He looked up and saw Kainalu's Inn written on the signboard. The paint was fading off with a slight sign of disrepair. Though a little shabby, it was still acceptable to him.

"Uncle Kainalu! I brought in a guest!"

Nanala called out after they stepped into the building.

"Oh, it's Nanala."

A bald, middle-aged man in his fifties came up to them. He was wearing an apron and had a kind smile on his face.

While Nanala was talking with the man, Hisoka looked around. There were only eight tables in the inn, and two of them were occupied. It seemed not many people came to this island.

"Please take a seat. I'll take your order now."

Kainalu, the owner of the inn, then led him to an empty table and sat down. After they had ordered their food, he returned to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, two steaming bowls of fish stew were placed in front of them, along with a couple of slices of bread.

His eyes lit up when he took a sip. It was very delicious.

After they finished eating, he ordered a cup of coffee and chatted with Nanala about the interesting things found on Tarroco Island.

"Have you ever heard of the Stinger Pirates?"

It was during this time that he decided to fish for more information about the Stinger Pirates.

As soon as he said that, Nanala immediately went silent. It was as if she was hesitating to answer his question.

"Why do you want to know about them?"

She averted her eyes after she replied.

"Can you please tell me? Please! It is important. I have to know if they are making any kind of plans soon."

He urged her in a whisper.

It took some time, but she finally decided to tell him about the Stinger Pirates group.

"When I went to play at the beach a few days ago, I saw a couple of men from the Stinger Pirates group. I heard them talking about some kind of deal between them and another poacher group from Sinnoh. Please don't meddle in their affairs. Stinger Pirates is very dangerous."

She pleaded.

"Thank you, Nanala. Don't worry. I know how to take care of myself."

He reassured her.
