She subconsciously took out her phone and called Qiao Yun.
Qiao Yun saw the incoming call alert from Su Mian and didn't think too much before answering.
"Qiaoqiao, have you gotten home yet?"
Qiao Yun obediently replied, "Not yet."
Listening to Qiao Yun's calm tone, Su Mian eliminated the possibility of bad guesses first.
No panic, no cry for help, good, Qiaoqiao wasn't kidnapped.
She tentatively asked, "Where are you?"
"Visiting a friend." Qiao Yun thought for a bit, then added, "Pei Ya asked me to... do homework, I'll be back late, don't wait for me."
"Oh, is that so."
The suspicions in Su Mian's heart dispersed, knowing from her own husband that Pei Ya liked Qiao Yun a lot and even wanted to make her his sister.
"He's teaching you homework?"
"Mhm," answered Qiao Yun, unruffled.
