Edward Hernandez watched Victoria Garcia's profile as the sunlight streamed through the car window, casting what appeared to be glistening droplets on the tip of her nose—utterly adorable.
"I was just making a suggestion. If you don't like it, we can just stay in Metropolis," Edward Hernandez replied.
There was a noticeable tone of disappointment in his voice.
"Paul, can you tell me who you really are?" Victoria asked again.
She had a hunch that Edward Hernandez was definitely in some kind of danger.
"My identity is very special," Edward Hernandez simply replied with a smile.
Victoria continued, "Then how did you know that the baby in my womb was healthy and that the doctors at these hospitals were forced to lie to me? Who needs to make sure I abort the child, and what's the purpose? Is it targeted at me or Arnold Johnson?"
She had asked these questions a month ago, yet Edward Hernandez had never given her an answer.
