Edward Hernandez heard her words, turned his head to glance at her, and said very seriously, "In your heart, what do you think I would do if I knew about this?"
Victoria Garcia didn't even think before replying directly, "I don't know. Moreover, this is my own personal matter, and I don't want to know what you're thinking either."
Edward Hernandez had long been accustomed to the way Victoria spoke; the men she disliked really didn't stand a chance at any hint of romance.
He had put so much effort into being nice to her, yet Victoria still treated him only as a normal friend.
"Victoria, if you really are pregnant, as long as you don't mind, I'm willing to be the father of this child and raise him with you into adulthood," Edward Hernandez said softly yet firmly.
Victoria Garcia looked out of the window, a bit absent-minded.
After a while, she finally said, "I do mind."
