As soon as Terry Garcia entered the villa, he didn't see Clara Brown, but his housekeeper greeted him respectfully: "Mr. Garcia, you're back!"
"All of you, get out! No one is allowed in tonight."
His violent temper was unmistakable; naturally, the servants dared not make a sound and hurried away, fearing that one misstep could make them the target of his wrath.
Terry opened the bedroom door and found Clara sitting quietly on the edge of the bed, her face numb and her makeup a mess, clearly having ruined it with tears, and her skin sagging even more after the breakdown.
Clara, at this moment, was neither arrogant nor angry.
Seeing her like this not only failed to dissipate Terry's anger but fueled it even more.
