From Hannah Garcia's perspective, strictly speaking, the man was very fair-skinned, tall, and had features that suggested mixed ancestry.
"Who are you?" Garcia, feeling somewhat weak in the legs, leaned against the wall in the stairwell corridor.
The man came forward, revealing a friendly smile, and said, "Miss Garcia, rest assured, I am here to rescue you!"
"Rescue me? Why should I believe you? And why did those people want to capture me?" Garcia felt like she had a multitude of doubts that she was eager to unravel.
The man said, in a friendly tone, "I will tell you everything you want to know, but right now we need to get out of here. If we don't leave, more people will come after us, and then I can't guarantee that I'll be able to save your life as smoothly as I did."
Garcia was half-convinced by his words.
But aside from believing him, Garcia didn't know what other choice she could make.
At the very least, he seemed much more friendly than those three black-clothed men.
