Bai Lanwu sighed, "Alright then, Xia Ye should be coming back soon. Let him take care of Ye Xingguang when he's back, you can leave then. I'm going to take a bath first."
In Xia Ye Zhao's eyes, there was a sense of gratitude and even a hope that Ye Jun would not come back and steal his opportunity to care for his little sister.
After Bai Lanwu had taken a shower and found that Ye Jun had not come yet, he called him. However, his phone was switched off. Bai Lanwu went to check on his daughter. Ye Xingguang told him to go to bed and so he did.
He wakened less than an hour later to check on his daughter and found Xia Ye Zhao by her bedside all the while. Relieved, Bai Lanwu went back to sleep.
Ye Xingguang's acute gastroenteritis wasn't too bad during the day; it was just a fever. But at night, it got worse with frequent diarrhea. Each time, Xia Ye Zhao carried the IV drip and accompanied her to the restroom, anxiously waiting outside with his heart in knots.
