"Lan has been gone for a while; I want to go check on her." Charlotte Cooper got up to leave after saying this.
Unprepared, she was suddenly pulled back down by force and fell onto the sofa.
She looked at the man with annoyance, "What do you want, Director Hamilton?"
"What do I want?" Director Hamilton sneered, "Charlotte Cooper, don't act all innocent with me. You've been in this circle for so long, don't you know what I want?"
Charlotte's face darkened slightly, "I'm sorry, I don't think I'm suitable for this role. I'm leaving."
She tried to walk away, but Director Hamilton blocked her path.
The sudden change left everyone in the room flabbergasted.
Director Hamilton coldly asked the people in the room, "Can't you see I'm trying to get things done? Get the hell out of here!"
Seeing this, several people hurriedly left the room.
Charlotte's face changed.
