Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: {Teach A Boyfriend To Fish, You Feed Him For Life}

(Hyun's perspective.)

It's Wednesday morning, and instead of going out today, Jugyeong invited me over to teach me how to become a reseller like her. I didn't think she would be serious, no she was genuinely serious about teaching me about being a reseller. She makes quite a bit of money on this and if we could make this our full-time job, who knows? Maybe we could get that money. She makes decent money, (more than I make at work on Tuesday). I think she told me she made like 2 million won in profit this month. And the replacement money goes to buying more pallets and jewelry liquidations.

"You make serious bank on this stuff." I say.

"Yeah it's a nice hustle. I spend like 1-2 hours listing inventory and then deactivate the listing and activate it again so the algorithm promotes it on Mercuri and ABay. The only annoying thing is buying boxes and shipping labels. Thankfully Mercuri pays for shipping labels." She replies.

"Duly noted."

"So why don't you sell only on Mercuri?" I ask her.

"That's because certain things sell faster on ABay. Mercuri doesn't have as many users. Also all this bulk stuff sells on ABay. Mercuri isn't friendly to stuff that's worth less than 8000 won. Also if you have multiple of the same item, you can put it on one listing on ABay."

"I see."

"There's also Luxmark but it's only for clothes. And stuff on there doesn't sell unless it's name brand or collectable."

"I see."

"Let's try this."

She walked me through the whole thing and got me set up. She even coerced me to buy a liquidation pallet from Bullseye.

My girlfriend knows how to get me excited. She can coerce me to try stuff like this easily. Does this make me a simp? I mean she had a good argument.

.

.

.

Now I just wait.

.

.

.

She also took me to the post office to see the process.

"I'm only starting out, can I just start with Mercuri?" I ask her.

"Yeah. Being a reseller is hard to get into. It's more friendly to beginners."

{Hey pay attention, do you want to be a waiter for the rest of your life?}

DPHM was speaking facts though which shows just how much my life still needs to be improved. I don't plan on becoming a billionaire or anything. But dying with a waiter being your job for 40+ years doesn't seem ideal.

I learn about the process.

So this is what my girlfriend does when I'm working if she's not in taekwondo practice.

"My dad wants you to come over Sunday Morning." she told me.

"Why?"

"F1 Grand Prix, he wants you to join us."

"O....K....."

"Yeah I figured you'd be uncomfortable about it. I told him that you're not too into sports. He's all like "He's a man he should be!" and all that jazz. I told him that Hyun gets bored. Will you come still?"

"My dad's not gonna be there right? I know it's in Italy this race and y'all have a large TV."

"Yeah he will..."

"Definitely not coming. My dad's gonna be yelling "long live Italy!" in Italian until my ears die."

"Well I'm gonna watch it. You don't have to watch it, just come. You can eat and sleep for all I care."

"You want me to come to be your lap pillow huh."

"Yeah it's two hours. It's gonna be comfier with you there."

"Fine...."

Then she grabs me and you know the drill at this point.

.

.

.

It's Saturday and my pallet came in.

"Why the hell is this thing with a bunch of boxes being delivered?" My dad asks in extra vulgar Italian.

"I'm gonna resell the contents, don't worry, I know what's in there, it's in the manifest."

"You trying to make money?"

"Yes."

"Okay, just put it in the garage."

"I was going to anyway."

Even though I don't celebrate anything, today is a federal holiday celebrating the end of world war 3, the war ended 2 weeks ago why did they make the holiday for it today? I dunno, but we can't work today.

I guess I can just open up this pallet. My dad decided to go watch a game with Mr. Keum. They're doing their bro thing. Makes sense, they both have wives that they see barely. My mom wakes up at like 12-1 pm and Mrs. Keum is only home one to three days a week.

I decide to call Jugyeong. Since she coerced me in the first place, I thought it would be courteous to ask her to come and open it with me.

Rrrrrrr!

"Hey babe!" she says

"Hey. Wanna come over and open this pallet with me?"

"OH IT'S IN? HELL YEAH THIS'LL BE FUN!"

"See ya in a bit."

"Now what to wear. Oh yeah see ya."

Cute. She's actually thinking about wearing something besides sweats and a t shirt on a non-date.

She gets here in a bit, it's 8 am. She looks stunning as always, she's just wearing her Muricaball jersey and some shorts, comfortable. Good. I don't she's had breakfast yet.

Grrlll! Brrr! Rrraaw!

"I made pancakes." I said.

She straight up drags me to the kitchen, does not say a word, then gives me them puppy dog eyes.

"You could have just said you were hungry, casa mia, casa tua."

"You sound so much hotter when you speak in Italian, I wish I knew what you were saying when you do."

"The funny thing is that Italian is 2nd least sexy sounding romance language, besides Romanian. The slav doesn't help them pfff."

"Still sexier than Korean."

"That is facts though."

We eat and then she drags me back downstairs to the garage. At least our apartment has a garage.

I bring a shank. I love how that word sounds in English. Shank.

{Passive Mission 4: Make That Money. Each time you sell 100000 Won worth of merchandise, +5 CSY, +5 INT, first completion you gain the passive skill, "A Better Seller", which raises your coerciveness by 5% when bargaining a sale.}

Absolutely broken ability.

{Not really}

Jugyeong and I start to slice open the pallet.

Then we slice open some boxes.

WE GOT BRAND NEW JS5 GAMES!

I didn't notice this until after I started freaking out, but Jugyeong was livestreaming on Instargraf.

"Really?"

"Hey come on babe, people like us."

"Only fat guys that fantasize and middle aged women."

"That's still money."

"Okay fair."

We count the amount of games and we got

.

.

.

50 brand new JS5 games. These are more valuable than you think. The JS6 has backwards compatibility and that console's new so people still have a JS5.

"The non-deluxe editions put for like what, 10-15 bucks, and deluxe editions put for 25-50 depending on expansion?"

"That's about right."

Next we open a box full of clothes.

"Bullseye brands, nothing's worth more than 10 bucks reselling." Jugyeong tells me.

We open up a bunch of stuff.

I had at least quintuple my money in merchandise. I bid about 300 bucks. This is a nice one.

"If you want to buy anything dm us here or visit my boyfriend's store in the description! I just got him started." Jugyeong said.

"What happened to Jugyeong? I thought you enjoyed hate?"

"In person. People I'll never meet in person I enjoy the positivity. And negativity."

"That's the Jugyeong I know."

"Thanks for watching!" We say.

Then Jugyeong does the exact same thing we did last time she livestreamed us.

She kissed me with tongue and turned it off.

When she does that without warning me I get both annoyed and excited.

Don't judge me.

{Your thoughts are so annoying sometimes}

"I'm hungry..." Jugyeong says.

"We just ate."

"Who said it was for food."

She pushes me down and you know what she does.

I already had 8 hickeys. She left 4 more.

"I need to wear a scarf now."

"Or a dog collar."

"No, a scarf."

"Okay..."

{It won't be as embarrassing when you become a stay at home dad.}
