We took a ride downtown and Jade still snuggled close to me inside the taxi.
"You are not letting me go since the Steakhouse," I told her.
"I just want you close."
"You wouldn't be losing me," I chuckled.
"I hope you won't want to let me go after I tell you my story."
I smiled to myself. I think I already know all there is that I need to know and I hadn't let go.
"Do you know how to get into the penthouse?" I asked her.
"My father has a private elevator that only he and I can access."
"Oh. Good."
We reached downtown and Jade did not let go of my hand as we walked into the building. The concierge greeted her when he saw us.
"Good evening Miss. It had been some time since I last saw you."
Jade gave him a polite smile.
"I've been away to work as usual."
"Oh I see. Welcome back."
"Thank you."
I gave the concierge a smile before Jade turned us around. She's still holding my hand.
