"I hope nothing happened last night. I would hate to clean up after scandals," she said to me when we were out of the hallway.
I frowned at the back of her head.
"Celebrities tend to do stupid things when they go out to parties. Parties like last night."
Anger rose in my chest.
How can she offhandedly assume that about me?
"Don't worry. Nothing happened."
"Good. But last night is never happening again."
"Okay."
She walked on ahead of me and we never said another word to each other.
After the exercise, I lounged around in our hotel room. I busied myself with my phone and kept singing, not minding anyone. Fen invited me to a night out but I told her no.
Around 3 in the afternoon, she ordered room service from the restaurant we went to the other day. She seemed busy too, glued to her laptop the whole time. She closes it promptly whenever I walk by her in the living room.
