"So, who avoided whom?" Sam asked as she stared at Veronica.
"Well, it seems like we're both responsible for this thing that happened between us." Veronica spoke.
"But how did it happen though? Like, what was the catalyst? That's the thing that I don't get. Like, when I give it a thought, I feel like after the UNO game and all, you gradually stopped hanging out with us. I mean, I'm aware that you weren't in the game, but you know what I mean, right?" He asked.
"Well, yea. That was the point I drifted apart ever so slightly. And I guess I now know the reason behind the drift." She spoke.
"For real? What is it?" He asked yet again.
"It's my kids. They finally found me cool and all. And at that point, I thought of focusing on my kids rather than relationships." She replied.
